The Provincial Palace is a beacon of neo-gothic architecture right in the heart of Bruges, Belgiums' most picturesque city. The impressive Provincial Palace was home to the county council up until 1999, and underwent a thorough renovation during the last couple of years with the intention of opening the iconic building up to the public. The site was to become a place for all West Flemish people; enriching, inspiring and connecting. I created a brand concept in motion, versatile and colourful. The flags of all 65 West Flemish cities were deconstructed to become molecules of colour and culture. An endless array of new patterns was then created so that heritage and future would go hand in hand, united and constantly evolving.
